Ami is an independent, family-run restaurant in Worthing, serving modern British food in a relaxed neighbourhood setting just a few minutes’ walk from Worthing seafront.
Since opening our doors in June 2014, our aim has been simple: to create the kind of restaurant we would want to visit ourselves. Somewhere that combines outstanding food and quality ingredients with friendly, professional service, without ever feeling overly formal.
More than a decade later, Ami has become an established part of Worthing’s independent dining scene. Our approach continues to centre around great food, seasonal ingredients and creating an experience that keeps our guests coming back.

Our menus are inspired by modern British cuisine, bringing together familiar ingredients, creative combinations and influences from further afield.
Being independent gives our kitchen the freedom to develop and change our menus throughout the year. Rather than relying on a fixed formula, dishes evolve with the seasons, the produce available and the ideas coming from our kitchen.
From relaxed lunches and small plates to fresh fish, carefully prepared meat dishes and homemade desserts, everything is designed around flavour, quality and attention to detail.
At the heart of our kitchen is Executive Chef Spike Lewis, working with the Ami team to create menus that make the most of fresh ingredients while offering something a little different.

We’re passionate about using fresh, locally sourced produce wherever possible. Working with trusted local suppliers helps us serve quality seasonal ingredients while supporting independent businesses.
Our menus evolve throughout the year, complemented by a carefully selected range of wines, cocktails and drinks.

You’ll find Ami at 93b Rowlands Road, Worthing, West Sussex, around 300 metres from the sea and approximately five minutes’ walk from Worthing’s beach promenade.
Our neighbourhood location means we’re close to Worthing town centre and seafront while being tucked away from the busiest areas, creating a more relaxed setting for lunch or dinner.

How to find us
On Foot from the Beach
We're just 5 minutes' walk — approximately 300 metres — from the famous Worthing seafront promenade. Head inland from the pier and follow the quiet residential streets to find us in our neighbourhood setting.
By car & parking
We are located away from the town centre, making arrival by car straightforward. Street parking is available in the surrounding residential streets. Please check local signage for any parking restrictions.
By train
Worthing station is served by Southern Rail from London Victoria and Brighton. From the station, we are approximately 10–15 minutes on foot, or a short taxi ride.
